Kid Rock: I'm No Racist

He was called onstage to receive an award at an NAACP event in Detroit, MI last night (May 1), but Kid Rock ended up offending some of the audience members.

During an incident in which protesters are calling unacceptable, the Cowboy singer took the stage and said, I love America. I love Detroit, and I love black people, while using the Confederate Flag as a prop.

Defending his actions, Rock told press that his use of the flag didnt reflect his attitude about race, but rather was a throwback to idol Lynyrd Skynyrd.

On the other hand, political strategist Adolph Mongo didnt see it that way. It stands for hatred, bigotry, racism, murder,” he said on behalf of the other protestors. “Every bigot and racist in this country loves that flag.”
