Chaz Bono Talks Becoming a Man
She made the decision to become a male back in 2009, and now Chaz Bono opens up about what that was like for his partner, Jennifer Elias.
Sitting down with Oprah Winfrey, Bono told, “We had to really almost re-learn how to communicate and how to be around each other.”
“Things had changed,” he continued. “Just me saying the same thing that I would have before with a deeper voice and more of a presence.”
The eldest child to Cher added, “Suddenly [things] didn”t mean the same thing to her. And so we really had to, you know, adjust our — how we did things and relearn how to be together.”
